Harvey graduated first in his class from the Santa Barbara's Brooks Institute of Photography in 1965. Since then, he has spent 38 years honing his craft by shooting products, people, events, and documenting 3-dimentional art for artists. He is also a skilled photographic artist, as evidenced in the fine art section of this site.

Harvey specializes in lighting, saying "Light is all there is! See it or direct it." His work is earmarked by his ability to capture the moment and the precision with which he delivers this vision.

Currently working with digitally photographed and manipulated images, Harvey is also a master of traditional media such as 35mm and larger film formats.

Past clients include notable companies such as The Bon, Eddie Bauer, Macy's, Salon Services, Bullocks Whilshire, May Company, Northrup Ventura and Frederick & Nelson.
